"I know, but I like being with you best," Fawn explained.
"Home, with you, is my preference, too. But the world don't stop, Fawn, and there's work to be done," he said before eexhaling a cloud out the open window.
"The world is rude," the fae pouted.
"That it is, love," he agreed and he navigated the way home.
Fawn dozed off on the backseat, waking only when they got home.
"Our new home will be built soon," he said, stretching lazily. "I am excited to show you when it is done."
"I'm looking forward to it," he said.
He slid into sa spot down the street from his flat, but only a short walk.
"Come on. Bed's calling."
Fawn followed, dancing a little as they walked.
"Tonight was joyus. We should go to more parties, don't you think?"
"If we can find a party, we'll go," he nodded, ushering Fawn in and to the bedroom.
"We could have a party. I would throw very good parties, don't you think?" Fawn asked as they headed to the bedroom.
"Have you ever hosted a party before?" John asked, slipping off his tie before undressing on his way to the bedroom.
"No," Fawn admitted, stripping down but by bit and leaving his clothes in a heap. "But I still think I would be good at it."
John crawled into bed and settled in, leaving room for Fawn to curl up with him.
"If you want a party, then we'll have a party," he said softly. "Not tonight. Come to bed."
Fawn crawled into bed and flopped against John with a yawn.
"And there will be cake," the fae added.
"What? Like a birthday party?" he chuckled.
" There's no need for birth to have cake," Fawn argued.
John chuckled quietly and pulled him close.
"You're not wrong."
"Fawn is never wrong," the fae decided, cuddling up closer.
"Go to sleep, love," John said, kissing his hair. "Pancakes in the morning."
