The day was finally done. He shooed out the last of the students, swung the door closed, and lit a cigarette right there in the basement.
These children were going to be the death of him. Maybe he could convince Guy to teach a lesson or two on pertinent symbols.
With his cig in his mouth, John rolled up his sleeves and sat cross legged in the center of a circle surrounded my mystical runes and symbols. The circle began to glow gold as he performed the ritual to strengthen the protections in the Dark Arts room. John was sure they were one student fuck up away from a schoolwide disaster.

Wyn wandered off while he talked, chatting away with his agent, then looking a little unsure as he sat down nearby.
"I can't take that kind of time off school, Vince," he said quietly, ducking his head as though that might stop John hearing. "I just got here..."

John reached for a cigarette. This was going to last shorter than average by the sound of it.

"I'll... I'll think on it," Wyn said, before hanging up.
no subject
"That don't sound good," John noted, the sucked a huge drag.
no subject
"It's nothing," Wyn lied. "Just a part that's come up- Apparently the director wants me. ...They're shooting in Spain."
no subject
"Wyn, we haven't even gotten to exams! If you leave now, you may as well drop out altogether. You can't do it," John said, sitting all the way up.
no subject
"I know! I know, but Victor- He thinks if I don't do this I could be throwing away my career. I said no, but- Then I said maybe. He sounded so disappointed in me..." Wyn sighed.

"You've got to commit to one or the other, love. I'm old, trust me. You can't do both. Decide what your life will be and do it. Act, or school. But not both," John cautioned sagely.
no subject
"No offence, Professor, but I think that's shit," Wyn said quietly. "I want it all. ...I'll figure out how to have it."
no subject
"You burn twice as bright, you burn out twice as fast," he cautioned. John could see, though, nothing he said was going to sway the lad.
no subject
"I can handle it," Wyn assured him. "You'll see," he added with a smile.
no subject
John smiled softly. He couldn't fault Wyn. He'd been invincible at the nymphs age, too.
"I believe you," he nodded. "But I'll still worry."
no subject
"You're sweet," Wyn smiled, walking over and sitting beside him.
no subject
"Don't let that get around," he replied. John stubbed out his cigarette, then held out his hand to bring Wyn closer.
no subject
"Right, because you're so cold and heartless," Wyn teased.
no subject
"I'd like people to think so. Mean old Dark Arts teacher," he chuckled. That was something no one thought.

"Someone might," he protested, but he was grinning to wide to be taken seriously.
"Come under the blankets," he said, beckoning him closer. He'd gotten over his arousal, but the Ida of touching Wyn was too tempting.

Wyn moved closer, then slipped beneath the covers, curling up beside him.
"I like your place. It has... A vibe, you know?"
no subject
"I know," John said. "The shit I deal with? I charmed my home to be safe and warm and only filled with good energy. My little piece of Heaven."
no subject
"It's lovely," Wyn purred. "It feels... Safe."
no subject
"It's the safest place within a hundred kilometers from here," he said. He turned his head and looked at him with a serious bend to his lips.
"Keep that in mind. If anything ever happens and you can't get away, get to my room and you'll be safe."
no subject
"Okay," Wyn said softly, curling up closer. "I'll remember."
no subject
"Comfy now?" John asked once he was settled. He took the opportunity to worm his arm around him.
no subject
"Terribly," Wyn said softly.
