John crawled into bed and settled in, leaving room for Fawn to curl up with him.
"If you want a party, then we'll have a party," he said softly. "Not tonight. Come to bed."
Fawn crawled into bed and flopped against John with a yawn.
"And there will be cake," the fae added.
"What? Like a birthday party?" he chuckled.
" There's no need for birth to have cake," Fawn argued.
John chuckled quietly and pulled him close.
"You're not wrong."
"Fawn is never wrong," the fae decided, cuddling up closer.
"Go to sleep, love," John said, kissing his hair. "Pancakes in the morning."
