"Do you believe in ghosts?" Alwyn asked as the credits rolled.

"I absolutely believe in ghosts," John nodded. "I've seen one. I know they're real."

"Ohgod," he choked softly. With the renewed effort it didn't take long before his arm tightened around Alwyn and he spilled in his hand.

Alwyn was still a bit unsure what to do with himself and his hand after John came, but eventually he untangled himself and went to wash up. He couldn't stand the feeling of drying come on his skin.

John laid still and came back to his senses. He got up when the water shut off and smiled at Alwyn in the doorway.

"My turn," he said, shamelessly nude.

Alwyn blushed.

"Yes, sorry," he said, scuttling out of the way.

John cleaned up quickly and joined Alwyn back in the bed. H snuggled close and pulled up the covers.

"Think you'll sleep well now?" John asked quietly.

[sweet_alwyn]

"Yes," Alwyn said softly, wiggling closer. "I'm tired now."

"Then sleep," he said, pressing a kiss to his forehead.

His heart hurt a bit, overcome with feeling. He resolved then to try to make this work. To not take Alwyn for granted. To not wait for him to leave.

For the first time in...ever...John wanted a future.
